When they first drafted Allen out of Michigan St. I was excited because he was the state champ in wresting in high school, and I love my center's and guards to have that wrestling background. When he first played he was better at getting to the next level than Blythe but when a man was over him he was dominated on a regular basis. Using geometry, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, I thought he was a done in the NFL because he was to little. When I was at the first game Chargers, I noticed he was not big but huge. He looked like a cross between Dave Rimmington and Mike Webster.
Les Snead really put his mark on this team, I love the addition of Stafford and D Jax, but our O line is the best kept secret to our success. In the beginning of the games we struggle running the ball, but with our offense forcing the opposing defenses to constantly pass rush we wear the other team out, by the 4 th quarter we have a dominating running game with an above average back.
Not only has Allen gotten bigger but so has Edwards and Corbett.
