Well 43, let's look at it this way.
First pre-season game is a couple days away and the Rams are changing starting CENTERS.
Rams went in to the draft needing a CENTER. Josh Myers, Creed Humphrey, Brady Christensen, Quinn Meinerz and Robert Hainsey were all on the board.
DJax was already on the roster, yet the Rams chose Tutu.
Now, PLAN A for the Rams is not working....Moving to PLAN B...I'm not liking it.
We go get STAFFORD and one of those CENTERS listed above are looking REAL GOOD right now to me. Just sayin'.....
Allen was a decent to good center in College. Why is it so hard for us to give him a chance now? Maybe just maybe he has played his butt off, gotten bigger stronger and more confident and just flat out earned the starting gig by beating out Corbett? Sounds that way to me....and in reality would we be that upset if someone else on the roster got beat out in camp for a starting spot? Its not like a lock that Corbett was gonna be a stud at C and now we get him back at RG where he is a damn good player and the Rams get Allen who sounds like he may just be growing into this position and has earned this chance with his play.
Camp leads to players earning their way, earning a spot on the roster and hopefully they develop and take the spot in a few years. I feel like Allen was drafted to be the Rams starting Center, now he has literally earned it and beat out a good player to do so in Corbett and its a bad thing? I see it as just the opposite, this is a good thing...the depth gets better and the starting five up front gets stronger.
