He is not struggling at all.
He has only thrown a few deep passes all training camp and several of them were PBUs. There are a ton of good reports on his progress if you care to dig beyond a recognized negative reporter.
For what it's worth, several Lions fans were laughing about same old Stafford when it became news that Ramsey intercepted him in the Red Zone. Is that indicative of Stafford's play through training camp so far? Not at all. Was it the one moment/article chosen to point a finger about crappy Stafford? Yes.
Goff is in the same boat.
This time of year most reporters are trying to excite their fan base and talk about all the good with the team and new pieces. A select few take the contrarian chicken little style.
I don't know. I don't really consider getting intercepted in red zone drills in the same category as taking checkdowns in training camp. Interceptions are going to happen so as long as there aren't a ton of them, I'd say that's not a cause for concern for any QB. But taking checkdowns and not being aggressive when the pads aren't even on yet? 7 on 7 type stuff? That may not be an actual problem, but it does make me raise an eyebrow, wanting to know what's going on.
