If Jared Goff is going to develop into a great quarterback, then he needed to get away and carve out his NFL career elsewhere.
Now he can make mistakes, learn from them, and come back stronger than ever. He was never going to do that while on the LA Rams.
He could have a tough early part of the season, but I think he is made of tougher stuff and could finish with a flourish. 6-11, 7-10, 8-9 kind of season perhaps.
I think he could have a better-than-expected year. But I think he will have some 'I can't watch this' moments as well.
