How about 5 years, $50M, with a $25M signing bonus? If structured like this the cap hit in 2022 would be $6M, DW would be a FA after 3 years, and the Rams would have $10M in dead money in 2025.
2022 $6M cap hit ($1M salary plus $5M prorated bonus)
2023 $15M cap hit ($10M salary plus $5M prorated bonus)
2024 $19M cap hit ($14M salary plus $5M prorated bonus)
2025 $5M cap hit ($0 salary plus $5M prorated bonus)
2026 $5M cap hit ($0 salary plus $5M prorated bonus)
The last 2 years are null years (no salary) and exist only as a mechanism for spreading the cap hit of the signing bonus over 5 years (initially). But with this deal DW would be gone after 3 seasons and the cap hit from the remaining 2 years would come due in 2025.
