I remember that differently. IIRC Henderson was seen as a change-of-pace back when he was drafted. Gurley was still the man when that draft took place and I don't recall anyone thinking that Hendo was drafted as the "heir apparent".
There was no "heir apparent" talk when he was drafted, that I recall. It was complementary/change of pace talk.
