I remember that differently. IIRC Henderson was seen as a change-of-pace back when he was drafted. Gurley was still the man when that draft took place and I don't recall anyone thinking that Hendo was drafted as the "heir apparent".
There was a good amount of confusion at the time. There was a good contingent here and elsewhere that thought he was to be more than a change of pace back. I was one who got caught up in projecting Hendo as the heir apparent. I knew Gurley wasn't going to be in a Rams uni for long, he was already showing signs that something was seriously wrong. Deadpool and others insisted that I had it wrong and that he was only intended to be a RB2. I know acknowledge all of you guys' superior wisdom.
Still a big fan of Hendo and glad he's RB2. They don't have to do a committee thing but I wouldn't mind seeing him have a decent size workload as the change of pace back.
