I don't feel criticized. I simply asked where did I criticize Kromer in my post?
I directly quoted you saying you're glad Kromer is gone. That's what I responded to: "I was quite happy the Rams moved on from Aaron Kromer."
And I am not responsible for the fact that yes that DOES sound like you had issues with Kromer. Maybe a better approach in response might be if you said, yeah okay it sounded like that, fair enough, but this is what I actually mean.
You know, clarify, without the itchy trigger finger. And I would respect that. You can't blame someone who can't mindread you and took your words to mean what they sure sound like they mean. You misspoke. I then did not get what you meant. Fine, I do it all the time myself (misspeak a point). Shrug.
...
Happens all the time. We cannot mind read on posts. I get your gist.
I was a big Kromer fan but I had a hunch his time was over soon. Didn't predict it to be after last season but I felt it coming.
I wasn't surprised that McVay moved on from Phillips as DC. It felt like the right move.
I wasn't' surprised that McVay moved on from Bones even thought it backfired.
For myself It felt like it was time to move on from Kromer. McVay could bite the bullet on this one but we have a long way to go before we know how this turns out.
Sometimes the grass is not greener on the other side but in the NFL, you don't wait a an extra year or three like a marriage or relationship.
In the NFL you make a change if your instincts tell you it's time. Sometimes it's wrong and sometimes it right.
Okay, yeah now we're talking (literally and figuratively). Thank you for straightening this out with me. I respect it when posters can step back from a little clash and re-set just discussing things, and so I respect what you just did in that post.
I agree that with moving on from Kromer, we don't really know where that will end up. I am not assuming it will be good or bad, I am more just wait and see about it. In general I think the OL will be solid this year.
You were talking about McVay's sudden shifts from coaches. I actually don't criticize that, though I see it as a complicated thing. It can be what you say--decisiveness in establishing good coaching standards (that was how it worked with replacing Johnson with Henderson). It could also be impatience. It could be both. I am still waiting to find out how I feel about it.
