Where did I criticize Kromer in my post?
Look, I wasn't really responding to anyone directly, just jumping into the conversation with my 2 cents.
You should not feel "criticized" because that's not what's happening here. I said what I said about Carberry, I wasn't "refuting" anyone, that's just my 2 cents on that topic. Though I did disagree with you on Kromer (disagreement being no big deal.)
In terms of you criticizing Kromer, I was responding to this comment from you--
"but I was quite happy the Rams moved on from Aaron Kromer."Pretty sure I did not misread that. You're glad Kromer is gone. Me? I think being glad he's gone underestimates how good he is as a coach.
So we just disagree on that bit.
How much does that matter (that we disagree?) Not that much.
...
I don't feel criticized. I simply asked where did I criticize Kromer in my post?
You can backtrack all you want.
You said "But then you guys are (wrongly, IMO) criticizing Kromer."
I never criticized Kromer.
Yes I said
"I was quite happy the Rams moved on from Aaron Kromer."This does not mean I thought Kromer was a bad O-Line coach.
Don't make blanket statements without having more dialogue with the poster on specific subject.
McVay moved on from Kromer. He would've retained him if he didn't' think a change was needed.
For what ever his reasons were he went in a different direction and hired a rookie O-Line college coach from Stanford.
I was totally on board with this move.
Kromer was good imo but I never thought he was spectacular.
I'm happy McVay makes changes. When I don't agree with him I will I put it out there.
His coaching assistants sure seem to get poached every offseason by other NFL teams.
McVay is not always gong to get his coaching changes right but he seems to have a knack for adding quality coaches to his staff.
DC - Wade Phillips/Staley - Upgraded.
SPTeams - Bones/Bonamego - He got this one wrong and quickly hired replacement.
O-Line - Kromer/Carberry - We will see when the 2021 season comes to an end.
In the NFL, It's not easy to find replacement...
