As much as I enjoyed and have fond memories of the USFL, that's pretty much why I don't want them to return. Unless it's a developmental situation. Scalping top talent out of college was not good for the NFL IMO and I'd rather see the NFL at it's best than having 2, 3, 4 or more football leagues watering everything down. NFL, CFL, XFL, USFL...it's too much.
If Fred Besana gets some playing time when he otherwise wouldn't have, that's fine. When Jim Kelly is kept from going to the NFL, that's a problem.
