It's supposed to take an even more dramatic jump in 2023. Maybe 30 million or so? So they'll be able to keep some guys in 23. How many will be the question.
And the numbers are still tight.
Remember, they have their entire OL to either replace or sign, plus Stafford to sign.
30 million MIGHT cover Stafford and the draft picks.
You've mentioned replacing/signing the entire OL thing a couple of times. What are you basing that on? I'm confused.
Whit is still under contract. He's old I know but he may play out his contract....or he may not. Either way is an assumption.
As for starters, Edwards, Hav, and the RG this year will still be under contract.
It looks to me like 40% of their starting OL will be a concern but that's much better than the entire OL needing addressing.
You are confusing different conversations. I have talked several times before about the OL challenges ahead in 2022, when NB and Corbett will both be FAs and Whitworth will be 41. There are multiple issues there, but the general point is to ask, did the Rams cause issues by not drafting any OL in 2021?
This thread. Is. A. Different. Conversation. It's not about the OL it's about the cap, through 2023. And among other factors mentioned, Edwards, Hav, and Evans are up in 2023. Again though the issue is the cap through 2023, and that includes several issues, such as extending Stafford.
I said they will be replacing or signing all 5 of their current starting OL by
2023. That's true though it is entirely possible if not
likely that 2 of the possible replacements are already on the roster (Anchrum and Brewer, who I project as OG/ROT types though Anchrum is probably really a guard and not an ROT).
You clearly misread, but I won't play the "get huffy" card and call it "blatant misrepresentation" or some kind of misleading escalation like that. Misreading is common on the net and this is just another "so it goes" instance of it. It happens. No need for dramatics.
