This is what I think he's been dealing with. McVay has had to expend so much energy and attention to trying to keep Goff going that he hasn't really been afforded the opportunity to really be a Head Coach. All of the smoke and mirrors and tricks he's been having to utilize to try and disguise the QB's weaknesses have taken away from him being able to put all the other stuff into action.
McVay's been getting by with a 2 barrel carburetor and now he gets a fuel-injected, turbo charger. I think it's reasonable to expect, at some point, the same type of production that GB had last year.
