How many guys have run 4.26? And pro days are almost always faster than combine numbers. I will give you a hint you can count them using only one hand.
It seems silly to me to discount Atwell's speed because very few people have run in the 4.2s before. Henry Ruggs ran a 4.27 at the combine last year. Someone runs in the 4.2s nearly every year at the Combine.
What I think is happening is you're straining to have a negative few on even his strengths because you already have your mind made up. It's a confirmation bias that wants to turn a 4.32 into the 4.40 range when there are more reports that he's run in the 4.2s.
Whats more believable where does 4.26 even come from when his own pro day number was 4.32 put on by his coaches. Now take that with a grain of salt because pro days are notorious for being faster than combine numbers because of the home team doing the testing and timing. Not quite 40yds, rocking starts, hand times, etc. No they don't run 4.2s every year this year no combine so everyone is going of pro day numbers and it seems like anyone can run 4.2 now.
