I think the telling detail as to why they may trade Havs is that he was not restructured. He easily could have been, and perhaps they approached him and he said no or didn't like the deal. Either way he is a prime candidate to trade, or potentially even cut after June 1. Its probably the one position where they have good options, which I see as Evans and Brewer. I doubt seriously they are going to move Edwards, he solidified the left guard spot after a slow start last year and has played zero snaps at tackle for the Rams. And I believe they like Anchrum on the interior.
I expect Havs to perform at a Pro Bowl level this year so I don't get the sentiment that the line could improve by moving a seasoned vet to move up anyone currently on the roster who has never performed at that level. If anything, he and Edwards are the only two I hope to see starting for this team two years from now after Whit retires. If any of Corbett, Evans, Allen, Brewer, or Anchrum were playing on another team, would anyone be hoping to bring them here? I get that the Rams have been developing them but and we all have high hopes, but to hope any would be an upgrade over Havenstein seems silly to me.
