I think i was the first to mention Dardon back on December 16th when Alyo asked if there were any speedy WRs out there to take a peak at.

Here's what I said back then:
He is a nuanced route runner which should fit McVays #1 priority. Super twitchy, big time top end speed. He is dangerous at all 3 levels of the field with that triple combo. A smaller Tyreek Hill without the baggage, and plays tougher.
His problem: 5'-9" 175ish lbs., but man, as a late day 2 to middle day 3 guy. He is one I will pay attn to.I have a couple of issues with him:
Level of competition. It comes into play a little bit for me. I love my FCS guys and usually don't worry about level of competition. But its in the back of my mind. It is with Radunz NDSU, Brown from UNI, Elerson Smith UNI, Lance NDSU...Even Meinerz otherwise he would be higher. Now, Radunz and Meinerz dominated at the Senior Bowl, so that helps.
The other problem with level of comp. for me is lack of game film I can find. I can literally watch Alabama, Michigan, USC, Washington, Georgia and Clemson every week. To find Dardon, its tough. So I do tend to err on the side of caution.
The next thing is size. He is sub 5'-10", sub 200 lbs. The coach that drafts him will have to manufacture touches for him. In space, he is ridiculous. His 3 cone was insane and that just reinforces what you see on the field. But He doesn't have the weight, strength or arm length to beat a jam at the LoS. So IMO, he needs to be in motion or in the slot, or both.
Lastly, he ran a 4.46 at his pro day. Now I normally ignore most pro day stuff, but with a guy that will rely on his speed, movement skills, I do look a bit at the 3 cone and 40. A 4.46 isn't even in the top 50 for prospects this year. That makes me wonder, was he just a fast fish in a slow pond?
So combine his average 40 time (that should be adjusted like every other pro day 40 time) with the small school production and lack of ideal size and I have a day 3 guy with return skills.
Oh and he is already over 22 years old.
I think he could go anywhere between rounds 4 and 7. My sweet spot for him is round 6. Tony Pauline likes him in the 4th, same with the draft network. NFL.com has him at 229, thats the 1st pick in the 7th round.
If I went to 202, he makes my board. Him and Trey Hill the OC from Georgia I love for the Rams.
