Kromer is fine when he has vets, but obviously doesn't really know how to develop young talent. .
He has before. With New Orleans, Chicago, and Buffalo.
That statement is way too questionable.
Kromer was a fine OL coach and has been for years.
But the NFL is a ‘what have you done for me lately’ league..
I don't know if that's at all relevant to what I was saying.
It sounds to me like you;re justifying Kromer being gone. Though 2 things about that. (1) we were told that it had nothing to do with performance. And (2) no one is arguing that Kromer should still be a Rams coach.
My point is minor and focused. The claim that Kromer did not develop young players is false. Not even a matter of opinion, it's just false. Hav has had good years and he was nothing before Kromer. Both Edwards and Corbett are young players who have done just fine for the Rams.
So again I really only raised one point. No it is not true that Kromer failed to develop young players. That was never true of him, not in the past and not recently.
And again that has nothing to do with any sort of "they shoulda kept Kromer" argument. I just will wait to see how the new guy does and if he's good, then no problem.
