I am struggling to find a decent OC or Edge rusher in FA. Maybe a guy like Ben Garland. I am hoping they don't ride with Blythe again. On the edge, it gets tough in FA.
Derek Rivers - I am bringing him back. He was miscast in NE and never got a shot here due to no preseason work, he was always behind. The 83rd overall pick, at 6'-4" 250 lbs, he ran a 4.61 at the combine and by position he finished in the 95th percentile in 3 cone, 90th in broad jump, 92nd in bench, 96th in 40 time, 80th in vert. So he is an athlete. I'd give him a full offseason learning the Rams playbook and let him compete.
And I'd let Rivers, Lewis, Obo and Hollins compete on the outside. Ideal? No, but cap constraints are what they are.
I think the Rams somehow get Marvin Jones. And then come back at some point in the draft, probably late and draft a gadgety speed kid with exceptional return skills.
So at 57, I think a few things: Radunz is gone, Tryon is gone and the only WR that makes any sense is Nico Collins and 57 is a stretch for him. I think Creed Humphrey is a 50/50 proposition and the Rams interest in Dickerson is minimal. Injury plus scheme fit makes him less than ideal. Its too early for Myers I think.
I also think that there will be a ton of LBers that get pushed into the 2nd half of the 2nd round and into the 1st half of the 3rd round. Moses, McGrone, Cox, Browning, Werner, Surratt all fall into that category.
I do not like any edge rushers outside of Tryon in the 2nd. I would have said Odeyingbo but with his blown achilles, forget him until the 5th round at the earliest. Someone will draft and stash a gem there. Its too early for Hamilcar Rashed, Jordan SMith, Roche, Perkins, Robinson, Elerson Smith and Cooper.
If Meinerz or Humphrey is there, I'd grab the guy I like better. If both are gone, Im grabbing one of McGrone, Moses, Cox or Browning. I come back in the 3rd and grab an edge rusher and probably an OT like Little or Hudson. The 4th thru 7th rounds would add a CB, my FB, a S and a gadget kick returning WR in some order.
