Basically, 1st round picks are overvalued. In this sense it's not surprising Snead trades them so often because part of their model is to find market inefficiencies - areas where things are over or undervalued - and exploit them.

But what he doesn't mention is this tactic wouldn't work if the team is not good at drafting in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
