What in the world did McVay and Goff talk about for FOUR hours? The article states Goff was upset. Maybe there were some things said in the heat of the moment between the QB and the coach that solidified McVay's decision. In any event, Silver indicates that Goff knew the relationship had eroded to the point that what McVay really wanted was for Goff to go away permanently. I do admire the classy way in which Goff has reacted so far... by saying nothing. What is there TO say? There's no point in making excuses, placing blame, being disrespectful... none of that amounts to anything good for anybody. Sounds like Goff is looking ahead to the future and is ready to move on so good for him. I wish him the best.
