The only negative is that McVay has to reload on coaches every year. Which he always does and the next man up does very well..... and then he's poached, too! It says great things about McVay as a HC.

We also have players come in who have upgraded their stock and gone on to big bucks.

There is no greater calling card to get really good coaches and players who want to be noticed than to come to LA and work for the Rams. New England held that calling card for years as other teams were envious of their coaching staff and how FAs seemed to always find their way there and did well, and then often left for bigger bucks. And New England never overpaid for these guys.... actually they usually got them for a relative bargain that ticked off fans of other teams.

It's a winning formula and one that we fans ought to be proud of and not even remotely think this is anything like rats jumping off a sinking ship.
