We've seen this creeping in more and more the last few years. I don't 6hold this against any Coach trying to get a better situation/deal for themselves, but maybe some sort of compensation needs to happen to stop just brazen poaching.
We don't know the backside to these moves. Maybe McVay gave his blessing to all the coaches to see if they wanted to move then do it?
