Bucky is clear that Goff is not at the core of the Rams offensive demise and while many (some fans and som media) have suggested that McVay has changed this offense to protect Goff or to hide for some deficit or limitations he has as a QB, they actually ignore that those same changes create more of a deficit and limitations restricting Goff's potential to that of the skills of the players around him. It appears that with the departure of Cook and insertion of Reynolds was a clear downgrade and has exposed our WRs as a B tier level as a unit. Not an elite level. I see at least 3 WRs on the field today that are better than our Starting 3 across the board and to suggest that not to be true is to ignore talent. I am looking at 2 QBs better than ours (Jared) but I will tell you this. Our QB (Jared) could run thier offenses with the talent they have and they may be just as good and just as successful with him healthy (Thumb) as they currently our. I doubt that either team is thinkig that they would be better if any of our top 3 WRs were replacing thier top WRs or feel that it would allow them to be better or elevate their offense. You cannot sleep on Arm talent and you cannot ignore explosive WRs that are also play makers. All this desire to have a playmaker at QB ignores how difficult it is to acquire that level of talent. Finding a Playmaker to play with Goff and other QBs with arm talent is a lot easier and preferable if you can build that team. If not there will be a lot of guessing wishing and hoping and untill you find that level of talent you can't fully appreciate how good you have it. Some will say if we had a better QB, I say if the talent around our QB was better. This a is a team sport but you gotta have som special talents in the mix.
