I can read stats too and I know he had off the field trouble.
BUT the talent is obviously there. He has put up some good numbers already in his career and you know what they are saying: If you did it once, you can do it again.
Besides it is a numbers game too. In cap number that is.
He played for just over a million in NO last season and he probably would not cost a whole lot more for 2021. Show me another QB with those career numbers, talent at a still relatively young age at 27.
It would be a risk but a calculated one. If McVay can correct his flaws and resurrect his career it could be a steal. At worst he is the backup to Goff and walks after 2021.
As many other posters around here I surely would prefer a QB like Watson but I see NO possibility for the Rams to swing a trade for him that would not cost the farm and house. And we are short on draft picks to begin with.
