Here's the problem with comparing Goff with Winston and Wentz: they both lost their jobs.
It's not much praise to say "hey my guy is better than a backup." What an awfully low standard.
Wilson had as many turnovers as Goff this year...Carr, Lock, Cousins had more....I think Goff only had two turnovers in his last six games, like I said, he got better at protecting the ball
Wilson - you make Orlovsky's point as mentioned in the other thread. Wilson threw for 2x the TDs with the same INTs. No comparison.
Cousins - Same thing. 35 TDs to Goff's 20 with the same number of INTs.
Carr - Carr only had 9 INTs this year while throwing 27 TDs. That's a 3.0 TD/TO ratio. Goff's was 1.54. No comparison.
Lock - You seriously want to compare Goff to a failed 2nd year QB?
So basically what you just established with the names you brought up of Winston, Wentz, Lock, Russell, Carr, and Cousins is that Goff compares as a near equal to the former three but falls far below the latter three. You just made an amazingly strong case for Goff being a bottom tier QB. I don't think that's what you were trying to do but it's there nonetheless.
