for Goff being a bottom 1/3 qb with 20 TD to 20 turnovers.
Heres a novel idea Goff should try if he doesn't want his coach mad at him: try throwing more TDs than interceptions and fumbles.
Passive aggressive? How do you figure? He flat out said every single position is under review. Is he being passive aggressive with AD or Ramsey? How about Whitworth? No, because they are grown men first, and professionals living up to their contracts 2nd. If Goff is an adult, and is objective about his own body of work, he should have zero problem with McVay or what he is saying.
I criticized one action. If you want cause all posters can do this as a tactic, reduce what I am saying to my motives and emotions ("now I am mad at Mcvay" ). It's not genuine discussion. 43 and I may be disagreeing in stark terms but it's at least real discussion.
I and several others object to McVay making the qb an issue after a
Passive aggressive is exactly what I mean. He refused to say anything directly (which actually might have helped) but instead out on the act that well no this wasn't about the qb it's about re-evaluating everything when we know damm well it's about the qb. It's coy and immature.
Look. You're now responding to my posts with this idea that you will, I dunno, something like expose my bad arguments or something--when a few times now you don't even get what I am saying and are automatically sure it is something easy to argue with and put down. When the truth is we just have some different stances on complicated issues where all we can offer right now are different opinions.
Goff did nothing recently except play. So you would have no idea one way or another if he's an "adult" or not. We have no idea what he's thinking or how he's responding.
We do know that McVay made the qb an issue after he played a gutty game, when we also both know that at the end of the season you open up an entire off-season's worth of controversy--and all the bad press that comes with it--over an issue that is (as we know) better handled one on one behind closed doors.
Now unless you can name me any coach who did that before at the end of a season, I will just point out that there's a good reason that rarely if ever happens that way.
