It is one of the most ironic part about having a good organization. It becomes a carrousel of different peeps.
Some think these are good problems to have. Can't disagree.
On the other hand, you get good people who want to fill those shoes.
Doesn't make it less worrisome though. Oh well, rather have it than not I guess.
I've always felt that organizational success comes from the top down starting with the owners.
Bad owners do bad things; good owners do good things most importantly of which is hiring very good people.
It seems talent, in every area, will be poached from our organization but I take comfort that, IMO, we have very good people in Demoff, Snead, and McVay remain in charge.
When Snead first got here, he reworked that scouting dept. from top to bottom. He didn't hire Holmes but he recognized that he was special and made him director. He did hire other great scouts. And we've been having success drafting which is evident on the field.
So even if you poach a Holmes or Farmer the same guy who hired or oversaw them is still in charge. We'll be ok because now we know that Snead recognizes good scouting talent and can hire more.
That's what makes things less worrisome for me.
