Very much agree with this. McVay did it with Gurley as well. There were a few games we were questioning why he was still in at the end of a few games back in the day. Sometimes McVay doesn't know when to get off the horse.
But for Akers, I really think it should depend on the game pace. If we're getting crashed on and losing at the POA, I'd start with a healthy mix and see what happens. But if Akers is breaking out, let him go until we see the end of the tunnel and like 43 said, send Brown in to close it out.
