I was surprised last Sunday to see such a small bandage on the thumb and him tossing some passes. But I still have a hard time seeing him playing 12+ days after surgery and screw(s) inserted. But who knows....
Again it just depends on what the surgery was. I'm not medical myself so I won't be putting this very well. But, inserting pins to seal a fracture line is very different from a situation where the bone actually broke, or chipped etc.
He has no cast, and no reported swelling.
There might be pain but he already toughed that out in the last game, when they did not know there was a broken (or probably line-fractured) bone.
So I find the idea that he could play completely plausible.
