In most (not all) rollout packages, the tailback is expected to help block on the edge to keep that QB on the rollout side. Im not sure the Rams have faith in Hendo to seal the edge. I know I don't.
2nd, rollouts are most effective when the defense respects the run game. That freezes the 2nd and 3rd levels for a second and gives your pass catchers that extra second to get open.
So if your run game is ineffective and your rb is shaky in pass pro, esp on the edge vs DEs, rollouts become really scary propositions.
