Fool that I was, Speed, the Buccaneers game and the Patriots game had me thinking that the Rams had turned a corner. But then the 0-13 Jets came to town and everything became different.
I thought the Rams would beat the Jets the way the Seahawks did: like men. This wasn't a case of losing to another good team; this was a case of both the players and the coaches simply not giving a damn. Maybe they didn't think the Jets were going to put up much of a fight. I don't know. I'm just tired of the two steps forward, one step back approach with this team and tired of looking for reasons for losses when it looks like they don't even try.
I'm not getting my hopes up for them this season. In hindsight I only thought they'd win 6 or 7 games so maybe 9-7 won't be too bad.
The rest of it is just like what Ellard so eloquently expressed.
