Re: Seeing some bickering on here about blame. Here's an easy answer.

My grandson who is a hereditary RAM Fan, approached me later in the evening to ask me what do I think of the RAMS! After all the talk over the past three weeks of the RAMS being in the top 6 teams approaching the Super Bowl, he was thoroughly depressed! He's 25 and been a fan for 5 years. I became a RAMANIAC when Roman Gabriels was long bombing to Jack Snow on that 11-0 streak (which ended with the Vikings crashing my dreams).

After thinking about it a little, of which there has been a lot of time to do (given the ups and downs this year-every year). I came to the conclusion that what he was asking me was "Why aren't we dominating other teams like the news says we should be?"

That was easier to answer. We are NOT a dominant team in the sense that we can impose ourselves physically and talent-wise on other teams. The only advantage we have had in our back pocket for the last 4 years is the belief that Sean McVay is a class above and beyond other coaches in his ability to coach up, scheme up, and strategize to make up for our talent and physicality deficiencies.

Our drafting has not gone for the BEST & MOST highly rated athletes at their positions but to go for those that maybe are overlooked but not the very top-tiered positional players. I suspect because of eventual/potential cap issues and draft positioning challenges.

Our coaching has been really highlighted as a strength but these games seem to show that maybe there are more deficiencies than we thought or that the curve may be more challenging for our coaches than we thought. Albeit scheming, strategizing, or motivating, we have missed the mark in the Rising Narrative. It looks like a steep hill at this point. The Super Bowl party does not look promising at all.

With no 1st round pick coming this year unless we sell someone, what do you all think our prospects are and based on what? Poor grandson! He isn't used to our checkered RAM history that I thought I was being exorcised from with the current team and staff.
