So it turns out that game wasn't super important in the big scheme of things given that it was AFC and we probably weren't going to get the #1 seed and really without fans the rest doesn't really matter.
For all intents and purposes, we are in the playoffs (barring 3 way tie with bears and cards). We still have a chance to win the division by beating Seattle, just means we now have to also beat cards to validate it.
The bigger issue is our confidence level in this team and although we are stoked to possibly win 10+ games in a semi rebuilding year, just doesn't feel like there is any confidence as to what team will show up, and which Goff and McVay will show up.
More and more they are closing down this offense from the peak of playing the Chiefs 2 years ago. We are consolidating from a high powered offense to a running team that only throws underneath as another form of a run and expect the receivers get yards after the catch.
To the point that we almost never throw a first down past the sticks, or a TD into the end zone, we throw short of the mark and hope for YAC.
Frustrating. No consistency, way too many 3rd downs with this approach rarely getting a first down on 1st or 2nd down.
I give the Defense a pass this week. I blame McVay for rarely having his team ready after breaks.
