after 5 years he is what he is now, this is his norm. 20+ TD's and 15 INT. and several fumbles.....What really bugs me about him is his seeming indifference to the game itself. We have a 3 point lead, he goes out and does squat, returns to the bench and sits....Looks at his etch a sketch. He has no interest in watching, shouting encouragement to his defense. He makes mistakes, but he shows no real push to improve. Yes he has his good games, but these bad games come around at too much frequency.
I also have noticed that he sits alone a lot, Wolford doesn't confer with him, the OC doesn't talk with him. He doesn't go up and down the bench talking to people. I guess he's not a rah, rah guy...that would be OK IF he would improve and have a steady rise of improvement and attain a high level of play, someone who can be relied on.
There are players on this team who really put their heart and soles out on the field....they push themselves and those around them to not only want to get better, but actually do it. I am sure Jared wants to be that type person, but you can't be who you are not. IMO either he isn't driven quite enough or maybe, just maybe he isn't all that smart. He just seems to never learn lessons.
Nice guy, but he's really wasting all the talent around him.....He is not reliable, that IMO is the worst statement of a starting QB....you can't have that....you must make the plays....That pass over Henderson made me sick...that was his TD..and he blew it...7 points...that's the game.
Huh? And you gather all that info by a few shots of him on TV sitting on the bench after a bad turnover??? Ok
There are plenty of stories about Goff and his work ethic.....here is just one of them [

There are plenty more of these like this out there.....yesterday had nothing to do with heart and soul, heck his fumble was from him trying too hard to get a few extra yards... It was just a bad day. Period
