Look at Brady's stats before he threw 50 TDs. Nothing special as stats, but he threw plenty of picks, his avg. yds. per completion was low, as was his completion percentage. Granted those numbers have come up around the league and he did win 3 Super Bowls up to that point, but he did have one of the GOAT coaches.
I am not saying that Goff is Brady or that he will ever be, but give him a flier this year. We would all be happy if I told you in the beginning of the season that we would be 7 and 4. He is holding us back this year and he may not be the long term solution. But he is our QB this season so let's just enjoy the ride and see where it takes us.
