It never stood a chance exactly. I think Teams are really ready for Coach Bones fakes now. In that game vs the Cardinals at the end of the yr last yr he ran that fake approx around our own 25 yd line around the beginning of the game and McVay blew a gasket. You could tell he wanted to end the yr with a Win and a Winning record @ 9-7. He didnt want to treat the game like a throwaway experimental Preseason game and regardless of the fact that we have been eliminated from the postseason. McVay is Ultra Competitive and thats fine by me and glad and grateful we have him. Whenever my sons and I get frustrated with something we have to remind ourselves of the long drought we went thru.
