The Rams were a HELLUVA lot better on STs when he was here. I have always hoped that he was not canned when McVay was pissed after the failed fake last year. Lord knows that McVay's play calls are FAR from perfect. Today??? Looks like Dallas needed ANY attempt of a spark. Rams converted SEVERAL fakes in THEIR territory and it was AWESOME. Owners and HCs have to be honest and take the good with the bad. Frankly, I REALLY wish Bones was still our ST Coach.
... on special teams. Certainly no fake punts. No punt blocks (though I think Rams may have gone for it once). Nothing special on kickoffs or returns.
Special teams play couldn't be more lackluster, really, both in re outcomes and envelope-pushing. I must say: I miss the days Bones made ST play relevant. When The Leg might credibly line up for a 60-yarder. Nowadays, w/the notable exception of Johnny H, I find myself just hoping they don't mess up and I suspect I'm hardly alone among Rams' fans. In re ST play, the mighty really have fallen.
