It is not a matter of value to the Rams. And I like Floyd. I think it is a matter of economics. The Rams are top heavy as it is salary wise and cannot make it more so. The Rams valued Corey Littleton too.
With Williams MAYBE they can make that work since an extension is another season away. The 2021 cap is likely going down, not up. The season to try and add another big contract is simply not next year.
Snead and the front office are executing the game and formula of using the compensatory picks formula and I think Floyd is part of that. Keep adding 3rd and 4th round comp picks via Floyd and Johnson departing while finally having their first round picks again is visible on the horizon.
