I don't think there is any way the Rams keep both Williams and Floyd long-term. I would tender Williams at a first round level and work on a 2022 extension for him while letting Floyd go and netting the 2022 3rd round comp. pick for him. Target Edge in the 2nd round and look for a short-term veteran signing to go along with Lewis and Hollins.
Brown has been a great story- veteran leader and contributor, scored the first SoFi Stadium TD, but I think you roll with Henderson and Akers in 2021 and likely draft another RB on day 3. Draft a RB on day 3 every year...
Reynolds is earning himself some nice cash (and us a nice comp. pick).
I think Everett and Ebukam will both hang around this league 4-5 more years each but get pretty modest deals elsewhere in March/April.
The operative words in your first sentence are ‘long term’, 93. And you may be right, I dunno.
I guess I’m higher on Floyd’s Ram value than you are. I see him as a perfect all around fit in Staley’s D. A synergy thing with the other players in the overall scheme. It is my hope that Floyd values playing under Staley and alongside the likes of AD (not to mention the fun of winning) that he can be signed for $15M per.
Darious Williams as a RFA is a no brainer. I really LOVE this kid and I think the Rams find a way to keep him beyond ‘21. I would be willing to sacrifice a number of players in order to keep Floyd and Williams. Including Whit, Brockers, Fox, and of course Reynolds, Everett, Hill, and JJ. Would be excruciating, but I would do it.
