There is no way Everett gets a third round comp pick. According to overthecap in the 2021 pick cancellation chart 14,000,000 was the cut point for third and fourth rounders. Whereas Everett could be a starter somewhere he is not one of the best TEs in the league. Only Kittle and Kelce make 14 million + a year. The next bunch is around 9-10 million. If someone really likes Everett he may get a deal around 7-8 million, and put him in the top 10 players at the position. He is not even the top TE on the market. That would be Hunter Henry and then Jonnu Smith. He is in a bunch with some older TEs Gronk, Olsen, and Cook and some up and coming players Tonyan from the Packers and Mo Alie-Cox from the Colts. Also if the cap is lower teams will not have a lot to spend. My guess is Everett's return will be worth a fifth round pick, maybe a 6.
Also the WR free agent class is stacked, so I doubt Reynolds gets more than 8 also. He could be a #2 maybe but not going to pay him like a number 1. There are a bunch of good safeties as well. The only Ram who might get a 3 in return is Floyd. I expect the rams to have a 4, 5, and two 6s if we do not sign anyone worth a cancellation. If we lose Reynolds, Everett, JJ and Floyd it could a 3 4 and two 5s but realistically Floyd is the only potential #3 comp pick.
