I consider Goff in the category of Carr, Tannehill, and Watson. Or at least that was my view of Goff going into this season.
Here's where they stand in terms of their stats this year...
Goff's passer rating is more than 10 points worse than any of those other QBs, and his QBR which takes into account fumbles, show that he is also clearly worse than the others.
I have the Sunday Ticket, I record lots of games, and I watch these QBs. They ALL are playing better than Goff, and the numbers bear it out.
I put up a poll on who would you trade Goff for, and I doubt any of us would trade Goff for Carr, Tannehill, or Watson. Yet, they are all playing better than Goff.
So, put me in the category of guys who are not all that appreciative of Goff's performance this year. He's not playing well enough.
That's the problem sometimes people get wrapped up in fantasy stats and forget about what matters,....
wins and lossesGoff probably has more WINS than all of those guys combined since 2017....and remind me when one of them ever gets their team to a Super Bowl or anywhere near one...
Goff will end up with the better career than all of them and already has had much more success
