I 100% agree with you guys. in order to fully understand goff or any qb for that matter you need to understand his performance within the context of the performance of other nfl qbs. you cant just watch the tv and say he missed that throw so he sucks. they all miss throws. they all have bad games. you cant say if 40 percent on long throws is good or bad unless you understand the context. so where does he rank in terms of completion percentage, TDs, +20 pass completions, INTs, fumbles, etc. Most fans imo are overly critical of their own players because they dont do those sorts of comparisons to understand the context. they just see the highlights of brady or brees or rodgers and then think they dont ever make a bad pass.
