Suggesting that people don't know what they're talking about because they must not watch other QB's is bordering on insulting. I don't necessarily know the context of every obscure stat but I do know how Goff's overall numbers compare to his peers as well as how he "looks". It wasn't that long ago that there were long arguments about whether Goff was a top 10 QB or top 5 QB. For the past two years he's struggled to stay in the top 20. And if you're living in the bottom third, you're not great, good or even mediocre.
I'm sure we all think of Goff more highly than his numbers rank but at some point, don't the numbers actually tell a story? Last year, his numbers were poor because the o-line was supposedly a lot worse than their rankings. This year, Goff's numbers are still poor though. He does some good things at times but what must he be doing those other times if he's so far down the chart compared to other QB's?
