The point is, I think there is a great likelihood that in the playoffs we'll face the type of defense Goff struggles against. There is no guarantee that those types of defenses are from playoff caliber teams but historically most are.
Also, I was using the phrase strong defenses as a broad generalization.
I saw your point and responded directly to it--in response to you saying basically he won't play winning football against top defenses, leading to your concerns about the playoffs, I said no it is not categorically true that Goff always struggles against top defenses. It's just not. He doesn't consistently excel against them either. Being categorical means generalizing too broadly.
This year for example Goff has faced 3 top 10 defenses. SF, Phil, and Washington. The team record in those games is 2-1. It is true that neither Phil nor Washington has an offense but then against the Rams, neither did Miami.
