I think Matthew Stafford is better than Goff. I can only imagine Stafford with weapons like the Rams have and McVay. I can’t imagine Goff thriving in an offense like Detroit
I have purposely been very quiet this week. Did not want to overreact to Goff’s performance Sunday
He played very poorly and unfortunately for him it was again on SNF. Again fueling this narrative that he’s just not that good of a QB in front the country.
IMO it’s a shame because there was just no reason for him to play that poorly. He had a run game the defense stiffened in the second half, but he just didn’t do the things you would expect your starting franchise QB to do.
When Goff plays well we say so. When Goff plays poorly we say so and we don’t have to jump through hoops or bend over backwards to blame the oline
I said several weeks ago that we would learn a ton about the Rams after these games against SF, Chic, and Miami. And those are not the big boys but the teams that we were needing to see the Rams differentiate themselves
The next two games are must wins if the Rams plan on keeping pace and winning this division.
However, based on Goff’s previous play against Chicago I am not looking forward to Monday nights game and I think the Rams much like last year will have to rely on their defense and run game to win this one
This a big game in our season. A must win and boy would it be nice if Goff played well in this game to help the Rams out.
I sure was disappointed with that performance last week and it just refuels doubts that I have about Goff’s consistency.
No time better than Monday night to have a bounce back game
