Here’s the thing, Speed.

You’re focused on 9 specific games which occurred during multiple challenges to the Ram O. Rams OL injuries, Gurley’s health issues, Goff’s struggles, McVay’s struggling to find a solution, etc.

The classic micro vs the macro viewpoints. I’m of the opinion that Kupp’s 3 year body of work speaks for itself. As do his multi-faceted locker room qualities.

Anyway, this is a subjective call on both our parts. I can see your POV, but I just see Kupp differently.

As to me not being receptive to ideas? That’s rich. The pot calling the kettle black kinda thing. And as to data? Again, you choose to focus on 9 games during a time of multiple stress on this O while I prefer to focus on his first 3 years in their entirety.

As to me lacking data to back up my assertions? First, I have better things to do than scurrying off to research data at your direction. I don’t ask that of you, btw. But even if I were so inclined, how would that really help on inherently subjective topics such as Goff vs Prescott or whether Kupp is worth the $16M? Those types of things will always come down to personal opinions. And your opinions are notoriously difficult to change. Lol.

My bottom line? I prefer the discussions up to a point. That point being that finally an impasse has been reached and going further might risk needless antagonism.

Last, but not least, the Rams brain trust felt that it was in the Rams’ best interest to extend Kupp at this time and for that salary. Now, we both know that they’re not perfect, but we also both know that they are infinitely better informed on all facets of this Kupp decision than either one of us. Absolutely no disrespect intended, but I’m happy to hear that my Kupp opinion aligns with theirs.
