the targets are way down nearly cut in half
Woods targets are up during the same period... and of course, Higbee's targets were obviously up
but yes you could be on to something James... IMO the lack of Cooks means the way the Rams move the ball in the air changes... or evolves
I think you answered your own question there, Speed.
At one time the Rams had a healthy Cooks, Woods, Kupp, and Gurley, with a so-so Higbee and an inconsistent Everett.
Then came the health issues with Cooks and Gurley and their resultant departures.
Now we have a healthy Woods, Kupp, an emerging Jefferson, and a Reynolds showing potential, together with Higbee who’s blowing up and Everett in a contract year. Plus Akers and Hendy that are still in unproven column although possessing tantalizing potential.
Then there’s the OL that looked pretty good vs the Cowboys. Add all that up and I think this ‘20 Ram O should be more effective than in years past, certainly ‘19.
Sooooo...
Who cares which player catches how many passes, really? The versatility of this O is now mind boggling. If opponents scheme (or sell out) to take away any one player, then the others can feast. Only fly in the ointment is whether the OL can do a decent job.
