fair question and that is part of what I am getting at as well. We need to see this play out but yes the Rams gave him a big contract but over the last 9 games his touches are cut in half and he’s averaging 40 yards per game
that is a sharp drop from his pace prior to the injury to Brandin Cooks
the Rams are not immune from making mistakes with big money contracts as we well know
did you get a chance to hear McVays press conference this week? He was asked about Kupp returning punts. He said he saw it as an opportunity to get his touches up. When I heard that I was like what? That was until I saw how drastically his touches were down

How do you explain his recent signing? Do you think that management didn't consider all his numbers and in particular his numbers over the last 9 games? Is he McVay's brother-in-law? I would suggest that management understands his value. Having weapons at each position is critical and as long as there is team production and each player is doing their job that Individual numbers week to week is not the be all. I suspect that the Eagles will focus on shutting down Woods and defending the short passing game. Look for some deeper passes and others to have a larger role resulting in better production. Just depends on what Philly does, they can't focus on all the versatile players the Rams put on the field. I look for Higbee, Kupp and Reynolds/Jefferson to "produce more this week.
