So they can save the plane when it happens in real life.
Smart move, IMO.
I get that they are trying to prepare for any situation. But to take time and try and teach someone to use bad mechanics properly makes no sense to me. You are not minimizing your mistakes at the point you are maximizing them. If you can't set your feet and throw properly their are other issues that need to be fixed first. Namely play calling, formations, alignments, personnel, etc. Yes there will be times when you have no choice but I think the odds at the point are better to throw it away instead of throwing up for grabs. I don't have a problem with Goff spending a little time on this but don't think it's a key area for him to improve on.
I kinda agree with nicecatchellard. As a former baseball coach of 25 years, our saying was if you practice with bad habits, you play with bad habits. Wouldn't it make more sense to concentrate on how to get rid of the ball quicker wile using good mechanics? Maybe work on reading the D better? He already throws off his back foot too often. Teach him how to avoid having to make that back foot throw instead.
I know this isn't the only thing they worked on but it does seem like the time could have been used better.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
