That sounds like a terrible idea to me. Let's practice throwing fundamentally terrible so that we are better at if it happens? Why not just practice throwing left handed in case you break your right arm. Don't see the logic in this if you can't set your feet correctly you probably shouldn't be throwing it.
I wouldn’t get too worked up over their emphasis on Goff coping with situations arising from an OL yet unproven. Seems prudent to me.
Besides, as zn points out, this is not all that they’re working on, anyway.
I’m in the camp that believes that if Goff gets an even decent OL and running game that he can be a top 10 QB. Not All World OL and/or running game, mind you, just ‘decent’.
Goff’s W/L record since McVay came aboard speaks for itself. 33-15 regular season is pretty danged good in today’s NFL. Two playoff appearances (including one S
on top of that. Woulda been a 3rd playoff appearance but for a missed 44 yarder by GZ, btw.
Bottom line for me is that Goff has convinced me that he can get us to the promised land IF he gets decent OL play. It’s as simple as that, if you ask me.
Of course, other posters have different opinions. Lol.
