Smart move, IMO.
I get that they are trying to prepare for any situation. But to take time and try and teach someone to use bad mechanics properly makes no sense to me. You are not minimizing your mistakes at the point you are maximizing them. If you can't set your feet and throw properly their are other issues that need to be fixed first. Namely playcalling, formations, alignments, personnel, etc. Yes there will be times when you have no choice but I think the odds at the point are better to throw it away instead of throwing up for grabs. I don't have a problem with Goff spending a little time on this but don't think it's a key area for him to improve on.
